Author Bio

Elyssa Latham (she/ her) based in Georgia, is a woman of words, and reader. She uses her love of writing to share what she needed to hear at a young age.

Elyssa’s work expresses the heartfelt emotions that people go through and allows the reader to feel those emotions alongside her. She wants readers to take away that it is okay to allow yourself to feel and that you can craft art out of pain.

One of her proud achievements is winning the ‘National PTA Reflections’ contest twice in the 11th grade and 9th grade with her entries, ‘Hero Within’ and ‘What Is My Story?'. The Ritz Theatre in Downtown Brunswick put “Hero Within” on display! In 2025, Elyssa joined the Hey Young Writer team as a contributing writer with her debut piece, 'Her Versus Me'.
